CFI-Honduras started in 2015 with the effort of a group of friends with shared goals, willing to work together on the holistic education of the youth of many communities in the department of La Paz.
The main goal is to benefit young adults that, for different reasons, couldn't complete their education. Extreme poverty, the long distance from where they live to school centers and the insecurity on their way to the school, especially for the girls are great deterrents to attending school regularly and with learning in mind.
CFI started with 17 students from 3 different communities, currently they have a total of 130 students from 33 different communities in the mountains of La Paz. Classes are from the seventh to eleventh grade and additional English and computer classes to improve the skills of our students are being developed.
Recently CFI has established a virtual classroom with the National University of Agriculture in the CFI-HN facilities so that high school graduates and other young people from communities near the center of Tutule can receive classes on Saturdays and Sundays with professors from the university.
With rising opportunities to work as virtual assistants or translators CFI is looking to include quality English Classes for their diverse student population. Currently there are no teachers in the surrounding or immediate area to teach the diverse group of CFI students.
Lastly CFI continues to look for ways that they can train and encourage crop diversification in the region. Partnering with different groups and skill centers they hope to impact sustainable physical, mental and spiritual growth in the community.

Most of all we ask that you pray with us for the youth attending the program. That God will give them wisdom and that their hearts and minds are guided with a greater hope for the future.
